Q1. What is Mobile Editor?

A. Mobile Editor is a very fast web-based management system on your mobile phone, PDA or BlackBerry that adds gigs and photos directly to Lemonrock.

Q2. What can I do with Mobile Editor?

A. You can create, edit and delete gigs, venues, bands and photos.

Q3. What are the advantages of Mobile Editor?

A. Use Mobile Editor to quickly add gigs and photos to Lemonrock. You select from lists instead of typing words.

Mobile Editor is portable, so that you can add your gigs and photos from anywhere - at a venue, in a meeting, on the train or bus, at the venue... anywhere that you can get mobile phone coverage.

Using Mobile Editor, you can do more effective promoting of your gigs, without having to be at home or at the office.

Q4. How do I add a new gig?

A. Click the 'login' link on your mobile phone and type in your e-mail address and password. When logged in, click on 'gigs menu', then 'new gig' and add your gig details! Try the Demo now »

Q5. How do I add a new photo to my page?

A. Click the 'login' link on your mobile phone and type in your e-mail address and password. When logged in, click on 'photos menu', then 'new photo' and add your photo directly from your phone! Try the Demo now »

Q6. Can I add several gigs at once?

A. Yes. We've created an extended version of the gig clone feature that has proved very popular on the main site. Once you have created a gig, you can copy (clone) all its details to up to 10 other gigs, with minimum fuss.

Q7. How do I clone or delete a gig?

A. Select the gig from your list, and you'll see a form containing the gig details. Click on the list marked 'update'. This expands into a list of options, allowing you to update or clone the gig, or to edit the performance information, or to mark a gig as 'cancelled' or 'sold out'. You can also delete a gig using the 'delete' option.

Q8. Who can add gigs?

A. To use Mobile Editor, you must have a Band or a Venue membership. If you have a trial membership, you can easily upgrade.

Q9. What type of mobile phone do I need?

A. You need a phone with a mobile browser - most phones now have a web browser built in.

Q10. Is Mobile Editor secure?

A. Yes, Mobile Editor is as secure as the main Lemonrock site, with the added advantage that data sent to and from mobile phones is strongly encrypted to protect your privacy.

Q11. Is there anything I can do with Mobile Editor that isn't available on the main web site?

A. As mentioned above, you can now multi-clone a gig up to 10 times - simply specify the dates of the cloned gigs, and you're done!

Also, depending on your connection speed, Mobile Editor can be faster than the main site, because the pages that Mobile Editor uses are tiny by comparison!

One great bonus with Mobile Editor is that you can directly post pictures taken on your mobile phone or portable device onto the Lemonrock site.

Q12. How big are the pages on Mobile Editor in terms of data?

A. Most pages are about 3-4k bytes in size (3000 - 4000 bytes). There are about 350 such pages to a Megabyte of data.

Q13. Is Mobile Editor a texting service?

A. No. This is not a text service, but a web-browser based system, so it may cost virtually nothing for you to use. Ask your phone company about mobile data charges.

Q14. When I login to Mobile Editor, does it automatically log me out from the main site if I'm logged in there?

A. No. You can be logged in on your desktop, and on your mobile, at the same time.
