Claiming to be England's oldest pub site (experts have excavated a Roman malting oven and a wall which indicate there was an ale house on the site between 60AD and 250ad), The Black Lion is an attractive feature of a street where bustling coaching inns once offered a welcome halt and a reviving glass of ale for bone-weary travellers jolting in and out of London. Well, we're still bone-weary in 21st Century St Albans, and we still need that ale... come and listen to some good local music here soon!
Forthcoming acts (1 of 1 total): Sun 11th Jan: Deaf Shepherd |
