Acoustic Routes is a venue in Cambridge run by singer/songwriter Bernard Hoskin which presents a wide range of non-mainstream music in a small concert setting. In the three years that it has been running it has established a reputation as one of the best small venues in the country.
The concerts take place in the intimate surroundings of the cellar at CB2, usually on a Saturday night, and present some of the finest local, national and international performers around. Music that has been featured includes singer/songwriters, acoustic guitarists, traditional folk, blues, African, jazz and Americana.
Acoustic Routes is non-profit making and all the door money is used to pay the performers and cover the small costs of the running the event.
CB2 itself offers fine dining, cafe, internet access, art and secondhand books. |
